Remembrance Day Service

I was asked to shoot the Remembrance Day parade and ceremonies for the Banff Legion. It was a mighty cold day, -24 degrees with wind chill! Thought my toes were going to fall off!

All the different men and women in service lead the way to the ceremonies held at the Elementary School. They brought the flags to the front and a young man started the ceremony off with a bone chilling song on the trumpet to a silent audience. The ceremony was short and sweet with a few speeches and of course the reading of "In Flanders Fields". To the sound of a beating drum they stoically marched back to the Banff Legion to lay wreaths. Then everyone made their way inside to listen to the band play a few songs.

Entertaining themselves while waiting to head out.

Cold march to the ceremonies.

After the ceremonies the band went into the legion and played a few songs to an excited audience.
